A. Graphic design is where one is able to visually communicate information. It is important to be able to communicate visually because then everyone will be able to understand what us trying to be portrayed instead of being only understood by someone of one culture.
2. How do interpersonal and employability skills effect your everyday life and your future?
A. Interpersonal and employability skills can affect your future because those skills are useful in being able to communicate with customers and consumers about. Having great social skills and work ethics are appealing to everyone, whether it be employers or just people in general.
3. Why is it important to identify safety issues and to safely operate equipment utilized in the classroom?
A. It's important to be aware of safety issues and to operate equipment safely in class because using equipment incorrectly could cause injuries to oneself or to others in the class.
4. What are the elements of design and how are they incorporated into a design?
A. The elements of design consist of line, shape, form, space, value, color, and texture. They are the basis of art and help to make the piece more appealing and add meaning behind the work.
5. What is a vector-based design and how is it created?
A. A vector-based design is a design that is based on geometric equations in which the resolution does not change when the size of the design is increased or decreased.
6. How is color used effectively in graphic design?
A. Color is used effectively in graphic design when the product catches the eye of the consumer. People want to sell their product and do that by using a wide range of colors or drastic contrast of color.
7. What is a raster-based image and how is it created?
A. Raster-based images are resolution dependent. When you change the size of a raster image, you shrink or stretch the pixels themselves which can result in a significant loss of clarity and very blurry image. That is how a raster-based image is created.
8. How does the manipulation of size and resolution effect digital images?
A. When an image is larger, the resolution lowers in quality and has a blurry look to it. When an image is smaller, the resolution is better in quality. However, certain parts of the image can be more difficult to see.

A. People use different typography to send a message of they object they are selling. For example, designers would use a scary or intimidating font for the cover of a horror book.

A. Designers use page layout programs to create and manage their own graphics.
11. What steps does a designer take to design a page layout from concept to final product?
A. To design a page layout, they have to break everything up into separate categories to work on each aspect of the design.

A. With visual communication, designers have to use color, typography, and know the audience they are trying to attract. These elements made the graphics industry take off and created a world of new advertisements and campaigns.

A. Some careers that are available include: Entry level designer, Mid-level designer, Senior designer, Art director, and advertising/marketing
14. Would I want to become an Illustrator or Graphic Designer? Explain.
A. Even though I enjoy art and using Illustrator/Photoshop, I can't see myself going into the Graphic Design field.
