Who is Andy Warhol?
An American artist who was a prominent member of the Pop Art movement.
Within what art genre did Warhol work?Pop Art.Define the genre?Pop Art is modern pop culture and media based art, often they are critical to traditional art types. During what years was he alive? He lived from 1928 to 1987.Post 2 samples of his art. Answer the following questions for each piece.Title of the piece?Describe the color that he utilizes.  Does he use any particular color scheme? What do you notice about the artwork itself?

This is entitled Camouflage Self Portrait. Here Andy Warhol used camouflage colors (muted greens, tans, ad grays) with a bold black background. Its a camouflage color scheme. My eyes zone out, so to speak, and notice the camouflage print first, then I see the details of his face and details in the background.

This here is called Double Elvis (it's from 1963). It uses a black and white/gray scale color scheme and a double print of Elvis Presley (hence the title). The main focus of the piece (Elvis) is off center and fading into the gray background. I like the particular image of Elvis that is used, with his gun drawn and a determined look in his eye.
